High-Cost Medication Smuggling Operation: 19 People Detained

A group using counterfeit prescriptions to smuggle high-cost medications for chronic disease treatment abroad has been detected by law enforcement.The Financial Crimes Unit teams determined that these medications, including those for cancer, organ transplants, ALS, diabetes, and hypertension, were stockpiled after being obtained from pharmaceutical warehouses and companies, and then smuggled out of the country.The teams found that the medications were transported via couriers and shipped abroad through airports and various cargo companies, utilizing pharmacist identities and authorities, all without proper registration. This operation resulted in the detention of 19 individuals. Such operations highlight the importance of reliability in healthcare services and combating medication smuggling.
