Increase in Candidates with Zero Correct Answers in YKS: The Worst Performance in Science

The YKS 2026 Report indicates a 64.4% increase in the number of candidates with zero correct answers compared to the previous year. Among the candidates who took the exam, 67,087 had no correct answers at all, with the worst performance being in the science section.
In the TYT, the number of candidates who scored 100 or higher was 2,187,743. However, among the candidates who took the exam, 67,087 had no correct answers at all. This number corresponds to approximately 2.98% of the candidates who took the exam.
According to the TEDMEM report, there was also an increase in the number of candidates with zero correct answers in some areas of the AYT. The number of candidates with no correct answers in the numerical and verbal score types increased significantly compared to the previous year, while there was a decrease in the equal weight and language fields.
