YKS Preference Period Ends Tomorrow: Important Reminder for Candidates

The preference period for the 2026 Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) is rapidly coming to an end for university candidates. Following the announcement of the YKS results on July 21, the preference period began on July 29, when candidates started making their preferences. Candidates can complete their preference procedures on the ÖSYM's website at "ais.osym.gov.tr" or through the ÖSYM candidate procedures mobile application. It should not be forgotten that tomorrow is the last day for completing preferences. It is crucial for candidates to carefully review the 2026-YKS Higher Education Programs and Quotas Guide and make their preferences in line with the information in the guide. This year, a total of 2,425,627 candidates applied for the YKS, while 2,255,076 candidates participated in the first session, the Basic Proficiency Test (TYT).
