Notable Detail in YKS Results: 67,000 Candidates Scored Zero

The results of the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) have been announced. In the exam, which 2.5 million candidates applied for, 67,000 candidates scored zero, while 246 candidates in the TYT session, 49 in the AYT, and 6 in the YDT had their exams deemed invalid.
According to the announcement made by the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM), in the TYT, 2 million 187 thousand 743, in the numerical 1 million 135 thousand 718, in the verbal 1 million 85 thousand 698, in the equal weight 1 million 421 thousand 290, and in the language 132 thousand 826 candidates' scores were calculated above 115.
Educator Salim Ünsal pointed out that there was a high concentration in the middle-upper level in the YKS results. Ünsal said, “Candidates had difficulty achieving the expected rankings up to 270,000 in Numerical, 510,000 in Verbal, 430,000 in EA, 40,000 in Language, and 570,000 in TYT.

■ Social sciences (20) 10.2
■ Basic mathematics (40) 6.8
■ Science (20) 4.3
