New Zealand Witnesses a Massive Fireball in the Sky

A massive fireball has been spotted in the skies over New Zealand's North Island, leaving many people in awe. According to Fireballs Aotearoa and authorities, the incident is likely to have been caused by a meteor entering the atmosphere. Witnesses reported hearing a loud boom and hissing sound after the fireball illuminated the sky.The event has generated significant excitement across different regions of New Zealand. Witnesses described the sound as 'a deafening roar'. Social media footage showed the large, bright yellow celestial body flashing several times before disappearing.One witness, Talulah Hodder, described the sky as completely clear before a massive, flaming object streaked across the horizon at high speed. Hodder reported hearing a loud roar followed by a faint hissing sound.Fireballs Aotearoa spokesperson Steve Wyn-Harris stated that camera footage and observation data related to the incident are being thoroughly analyzed. Wyn-Harris suggested that the loud noise accompanying the fireball could indicate that the meteor entered the atmosphere at a lower angle than usual, and some parts of it may have reached the ground.
