New Weather Forecast: Rainfall Warning for Istanbul and Many Provinces

According to the latest assessment by the Meteorology Department, partial and very cloudy weather will prevail in the northern parts of Turkey and the interior of the Mediterranean. Local showers and thunderstorms are expected in the northern Marmara, inner parts of Western Black Sea, coastal areas of Eastern Black Sea, inner parts of Antalya and Mersin, Ardahan, and northern districts of Çorum and Kars. Short-term and local showers with thunderstorms are expected in Istanbul, Kırklareli, Tekirdağ, Kocaeli, and Sakarya until the evening hours.Temperatures in the region will be around seasonal norms. Expected temperatures will increase by a few degrees, especially in the inner regions. In the Eastern Black Sea, intermittent rainfall is expected in the inner and high parts of Rize, Artvin, and Trabzon. In the Mediterranean Region, local rainfall transitions are expected in the inner parts of Antalya and Mersin in the following hours. Experts warn that people with chronic illnesses, the elderly, and children should not stay under the sun for long periods, especially during the hottest hours of the day.
