Student Amnesty to be Discussed in Parliament

The Turkish Grand National Assembly will discuss the student amnesty regulation in the new week.The proposal to be discussed in the General Assembly of the Parliament will bring new rights to students who have not benefited from amnesties issued before 2022. These students will be able to apply to the university where their relationship was previously cut off within four months.Students who have gone to the army will be able to benefit from the amnesty within two months after their service period ends.According to the proposal, retired faculty members will also be given the opportunity to teach contractually for two more years.A fine and dismissal penalty is envisaged for thesis fraud, which has been a topic of debate for a long time.In addition, a tax regulation will be made to increase the number of scholarship students studying at foundation universities. The period given to foundation universities with a medical faculty to establish a hospital will also be extended for the last time.
