New Regulation: Joint Treatment Products Can No Longer Be Obtained From Outside

The Ministry of Health has introduced a new regulation regarding joint treatment products used in hospitals. From now on, products containing PRP and hyaluronic acid can no longer be obtained from outside with a prescription. The Ministry of Health has implemented this new regulation. According to this, the aforementioned products can no longer be obtained from outside with a prescription. The General Directorate of Public Hospitals of the Ministry of Health has announced new regulations regarding the procurement of medical consumables used in hospitals. According to the circular, products containing Platelet-rich Plasma (PRP) and hyaluronic acid, which are used in the treatment of joint disorders, can no longer be prescribed to patients and obtained from outside. Within the scope of the cooperation agreement signed between the Ministry and the State Supply Office (DMO), these products will be procured by hospitals through the Health Market system. The products to be added to the system will be examined by the General Directorate of Public Hospitals and the Scientific Evaluation Commission, and then added to the catalog and made available to health institutions.
