Tensions Escalate in Yemen: Houthi Rebels Announce End of Ceasefire

The Houthi rebels in Yemen have announced the end of a ceasefire after a Saudi-led coalition airstrike on the international airport in Sana'a.
The Houthi military spokesperson, Yahya Seri, warned that the attack would not go unanswered and that Saudi Arabia must bear the consequences of this action. The Houthis sent a message that the attack marked the end of efforts to find a solution in the region and declared that military tension has increased again.
The situation on the ground is becoming increasingly tense due to the airport attack, as well as other diplomatic and military crises. The Yemeni Defense Minister, Tahir el-Ukayli, announced that Iranian planes had violated the country's airspace and that a military response would be given. At the same time, the Yemeni Information Minister, Muammer al-Iryani, announced that the Houthis had detained a plane and crew belonging to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) at Sana'a airport.
