Betty Defies Age: 97-Year-Old Sets Wing Walk Record
A 97-year-old British woman, Betty Bromage, has set a new record for the oldest female wing walker, according to Guinness World Records. Despite suffering a stroke, Bromage accomplished this feat and plans to take on a new challenge at the age of 100. Bromage, who lives in Cheltenham, England, has equaled her own record from four years ago, achieving a remarkable feat. She has been wing walking six times since the age of 87 and currently holds the Guinness World Record for the oldest female wing walker.

I would otherwise get bored. I can't drive, my eyesight isn't great, and I'm a bit disappointed. That's why I want to do the things I can.

After suffering a stroke that affected her speech last August, Bromage stated that her treatment was successful and she is doing well, apart from some difficulties with her speech. Inspired by a quote she saw at the hospital where she worked as a nurse, Bromage began raising funds for charities.

We only pass through this world once; do whatever good you can, show whatever kindness you can, now, don't delay or neglect it.

The biggest challenge she faced during the wing walk was climbing onto the plane's wing due to her short stature, but she is already planning a special event for her 100th birthday.
