Decisions of the High Military Council Announced

The High Military Council (YAŞ) meeting, chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has come to a close. The meeting resulted in significant decisions. 25 generals and admirals were promoted to higher ranks, and 69 colonels were elevated to general and admiral positions. The terms of 24 generals were extended by one year, and those of 530 colonels by two years. Additionally, 2 generals were retired due to age limits, and 61 generals and admirals due to lack of available positions. As per the YAŞ decision, the term of Navy Commander Admiral Ercüment Tatlıoğlu was extended by 1 year. General Rafet Dalkıran was appointed as the Commander of the Air Force.
