Migrant Trying to Reach Spain by Paragliding Loses Life
A migrant attempting to reach the Spanish territory of Ceuta in North Africa by paragliding lost their life after falling into the sea. According to reports from Spanish news agencies citing civil guard sources, the migrant from Sub-Saharan Africa tried to cross from Morocco to Ceuta using a paraglider. The young migrant, whose identity was not disclosed, lost control of the paraglider and fell into the sea, with authorities later recovering the body. Authorities intervened in an incident involving over 800 migrants trying to swim from the coast of the Moroccan town of Castillejos to Ceuta. The Prime Minister of Spain announced that all resources were being mobilized in response to the incident. The Spanish government decided to deploy armed forces to the region to ensure security due to the increasing number of irregular migration attempts to Ceuta.
