Death Toll Rises to 3,685 in Venezuela Earthquakes

Search and rescue efforts are ongoing in Venezuela after two major earthquakes struck the country two weeks ago.
The death toll has risen to 3,685 as debris removal efforts continue in La Guaira state, where the most significant destruction occurred. Venezuelan National Assembly President Jorge Rodriguez announced on social media that the number of injured has reached 16,740.
Rodriguez stated that the number of temporary shelters for those who lost their homes has increased to 87, and more than 9,603 tons of food aid have been delivered to the affected. According to local reports, debris removal efforts are proceeding without interruption, while volunteers continue to support the affected in tent cities.
The Turkish Red Crescent also delivered 500 hygiene packages to those in need in the Playa Grande region of La Guaira state, which was severely affected by the earthquakes, in cooperation with the Venezuelan Red Cross. It is reported that the death toll and the number of injured may increase as search and rescue efforts continue.
