Venezuela Sees 3 Deaths from Hantavirus Outbreak

An outbreak of hantavirus in the eastern Anzoategui state of Venezuela has resulted in the loss of 3 lives. According to an announcement from Venezuela's Ministry of Health, the individuals who died tested positive for hantavirus. The Ministry also stated that the deaths of 2 healthcare workers in the Barinas state are not connected to the cases in Anzoategui and that investigations are ongoing. The announcement emphasized that these deaths were isolated incidents and do not pose a general risk to public health.
