Venezuela Earthquake Disaster: Death Toll Exceeds 1700

Following the 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes in Venezuela, official reports indicate that the death toll has surpassed 1700. Interim President Delcy Rodriguez shared a video of rescue efforts on her social media account. As search and rescue operations continue across the country, more than 46,600 people remain missing. International aid is also supporting the operations. Countries including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, the US, Germany, France, the UK, Turkey, and many others have sent search and rescue teams to the region. China has provided $14.72 million worth of emergency aid materials.
