New Development for Working Parents: 24/7 Flexible Kindergartens on the Way

Important changes have been made to the regulation regarding children's daycare centers to be opened in public institutions and organizations. With these changes, flexible children's daycare centers that can operate 24/7 will be possible, taking into account the difficulties faced by public personnel working in shifts, such as doctors, nurses, police, and soldiers.The minimum number of children required to open a daycare center has been reduced from 50 to 30. Additionally, if 30 public officials submit a written request, opening a children's daycare center will be mandatory.The Ministry of Family and Social Services has prepared this regulation to enable public employees to strike a healthy balance between their work and family life. With this regulation, physical and bureaucratic barriers that made it difficult to open children's daycare centers in public institutions have been removed.The changes made to the regulation are seen as an important step in addressing the difficulties faced by public personnel in childcare.
