A radio signal has been detected for the first time from a neutron star that was thought to have been silent for years. This discovery marks the first radio signal obtained from such a celestial body after years of observation.The research focused on a young neutron star, located at the center of a supernova remnant, which falls under the category of neutron stars. Despite appearing bright in X-rays, these celestial bodies were considered to be in radio silence because they could not be detected by radio telescopes.Scientists have been debating whether these stars actually produce radio signals or if their signals are too weak to be detected by current telescopes. Using the MeerKAT Radio Telescope, a precursor to the Square Kilometre Array, one of the world's largest radio telescope projects, researchers detected regular radio pulses.The signals were confirmed to be coming from a sample CCO at the center of a supernova remnant, and it was found that the object is actually a radio pulsar.
