Tragic Accident in Bitlis: One of Three Brothers Swept Away by Floodwaters Lost Their Life, Another Remains Missing

A tragic incident occurred in Bitlis, where three brothers fell into a river. The event took place in the Kayran village of Mutki district. The three brothers, 11-year-old Fatih, 12-year-old Abdulaziz, and 13-year-old Muhammed Enes Şeflek, fell into the river near the village.People in the vicinity who witnessed the brothers being swept away by the strong current immediately notified the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon notification, 112 Emergency Health, UMKE, gendarmerie, and AFAD teams were dispatched to the area. The father, Bakır Şeflek, and villagers who entered the river, which had high water levels, rescued Fatih Şeflek from the water and handed him over to the health teams. The injured child was taken to the hospital by ambulance.Father Bakır Şeflek stated the following about the incident: '' It was determined that 13-year-old Muhammed Enes Şeflek lost his life. Search and rescue efforts by AFAD, gendarmerie, and other teams are ongoing to find 12-year-old Abdulaziz Şeflek, who was swept away by the floodwaters.
