Two 'Super Puff' Exoplanets Discovered in Space

Researchers from the UK and France have discovered two 'super puff' exoplanets, located 1110 light-years away, with densities lower than that of cotton candy. These planets were found to have the lowest density of any known large exoplanet.The study, conducted by researchers from the University of Oxford, the University of Birmingham, and the University of Nice Côte d’Azur, analyzed data from NASA's Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) and ground-based telescopes. The planets, designated 'TOI-791 b' and 'TOI-791 c', were found to have the lowest density of any known large exoplanet.According to the researchers, these planets are about 35 times less dense than Jupiter and have extremely light atmospheres composed mostly of hydrogen and helium. George Dransfield noted that these planets are among the 'lightest' known giant planets and may have white or blue colors.
