Record Price Difference Between Producers and Markets: Carrots Lead the Way

According to the report on producer and market prices for July published by the Turkish Agricultural Associations Union (TZOB), the price difference between producers and markets was highest at 461.2% for carrots. According to the report, carrots are followed by apples at 444.4%, green lentils at 236.6%, zucchini at 231.6%, and parsley at 219.5%. In July, 19 out of 39 products monitored in markets experienced price increases, while 20 experienced price decreases. According to the information provided by Bayraktar, the product with the highest price increase in markets was hot peppers at 86.2%. The products that followed hot peppers in terms of price increase were listed. According to the report, the product with the highest price decrease in markets was watermelon at 49%. The products that followed watermelon in terms of price decrease were listed. In terms of producer prices, in July, 8 out of 31 products experienced price increases, 16 experienced price decreases, and 7 experienced no change in price. According to the data, the highest price increase for producers was 52.9% for onions, while the largest price decrease was 51.1% for carrots.
