US Military Believes Soldier Missing After Iranian Attack in Jordan is Dead

The US Department of Defense has announced that a US soldier who went missing after an Iranian attack in Jordan is believed to be dead.In a statement from the Pentagon, the following was stated:

It is believed that Sergeant Angel S. Rampersad, 28, from Ozone Park, New York, was killed in action during an enemy attack on July 17, 2026, at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan.

On Saturday, US Central Command had announced that two US soldiers were killed and one was missing after an Iranian missile and drone attack on a US base in Jordan.
