Renowned Singer Neşe Karaböcek's Husband Passed Away

Prominent journalist Tevfik Yener, the husband of famous singer Neşe Karaböcek, passed away at the age of 88. Having served as the general publication manager for several newspapers in Turkey, Yener died due to multiple organ failure. The funeral of Tevfik Yener will be held on Saturday after the afternoon prayer at the Ebubekir Mosque in Beylikdüzü and will be buried in the Büyükçekmece Çakmaklı Cemetery. Born in Istanbul in 1938, Yener received his art education at the Academy of Fine Arts. Yener started his career in the press by drawing for the Turkish Voice Newspaper in 1955 while still a student. After his military service, he worked as a graphic designer and painter abroad and in Turkey, and wrote art articles. He worked in the editorial departments of Haber and Yeni İstanbul newspapers, and served as the publication manager of ABC, Günaydın, and Saklambaç newspapers.
