Davis shared a message on her Instagram account, stating that she was diagnosed about a year and a half ago and that the disease has spread to her bones, including her spine, right hip, and ribs. She also mentioned that humor has been one of the things that has helped her the most and asked her friends not to treat her like a sick person.
I'm not afraid, I'm at peace with it. I'll be seeing my dog Gracie sooner than I thought, and leaving my physical body behind means going home for me. Mourning is entirely for my family, it's much harder for them than it is for me.
The actress expressed her desire to continue working for animal rights and to pursue her acting career. She stated that acting is one of the greatest joys in her life.
