French School Fined Millions

The Competition Board imposed a total administrative fine of 5 million 466 thousand 201 lira on the Private Saint Benoit French School. The school was fined for determining school registration fees and Turkish teachers' salaries together with rival French schools. The Competition Board launched an investigation into allegations that French schools jointly determined school registration fees and Turkish teachers' salaries. Saint Benoit had previously sued against the Competition Board's decision and had the fines canceled by a court ruling. However, the Competition Board re-examined the file in accordance with the court rulings and ruled that the school had violated the law.
