Explosions on Oil Tanker in the Gulf of Oman

An oil tanker sailing in the Gulf of Oman has experienced two explosions. The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported that a maritime security incident occurred approximately 9 nautical miles southeast of the town of Kumzar in Oman. The incident took place on a tanker passing through the Strait of Hormuz. According to initial assessments, the ship and its crew are safe. The UKMTO stated in its latest assessment that the tanker did not suffer any damage, and the crew is also safe.
