International Olympic Committee Lifts Suspension on Russian Olympic Committee

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has temporarily lifted the suspension on the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC), reinstating its membership status. The IOC also removed the sanctions imposed on Russian athletes. According to the statement on the IOC website, the organization has withdrawn its previous recommendations regarding restrictions on Russian athletes. This development marks a new phase for the participation of Russian athletes in international competitions. Previously, Russian and Belarusian athletes had been excluded from international events, then allowed to participate only as neutral athletes, and not in team events.
