Ship Entries to Ukrainian Ports Halted

Ukrainian Agriculture Minister Taras Vısotskiy announced that ship entries to Ukrainian ports have completely stopped following Russia's increased bombardment of military targets.Vısotskiy stated that whereas four or five ships were entering the ports in previous days, the entries have now stopped. The minister noted that the government has not imposed any restrictions, and the decision not to enter the ports is entirely up to the ship owners.The monthly cost of halting ship entries to Ukrainian ports is estimated to be $2 billion. Maersk, the world's largest container shipping company, had temporarily suspended its operations at the port of Chornomorsk in Ukraine due to Russia's increased bombardment.Russian Foreign Ministry official Rodion Miroşnik emphasized that the Kiev administration uses the sea route for arms shipments, while the Russian Defense Ministry stated that the army targets this infrastructure to reduce military and economic potential.
