Progress Made in Resolving Ukraine Crisis

US President Donald Trump stated that progress has been made in the diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. In a statement to the press, Trump evaluated the progress in the diplomatic efforts to resolve the Ukraine crisis. Referring to the ongoing diplomatic efforts, Trump said, 'We are working on this issue and I think we are making progress.' Responding to a question about Vladimir Zelenskiy’s request for long-range missiles, the US President pointed out that the American military also needs such weapons. Trump also emphasized that sufficient arms shipments had already been made to Ukraine during Joe Biden’s term. After meeting with Zelenskiy behind closed doors last month, Trump described the meeting as 'very good', without elaborating. Following the meeting, Zelenskiy claimed that the US had agreed in principle to grant Ukraine a production license for Patriot air defense system missiles.
