Civilian Ship Attacked by Ukrainian Drones Sinks in the Black Sea
According to Russian state nuclear energy company Rosatom, its subsidiary FESCO's container ship Yanina was attacked by Ukrainian naval drones last night and sank 130 miles off Novorossiysk. As stated in Rosatom's statement, the incident occurred in the Black Sea, 130 miles from the city of Novorossiysk. The FESCO-owned Yanina ship was damaged and sank as a result of the attack by Ukrainian Armed Forces' sea combat drones. Rosatom CEO Aleksey Likhachev made a statement about the incident and stated that the Yanina ship, which was attacked by the Ukrainian army, was an ordinary civilian container ship sailing in international waters. Likhachev said that all 17 crew members on the ship were rescued and that the people's health conditions are good. The head of Rosatom described the attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces as piracy and hijacking.
