Ukrainian Forces Abandon Positions in Sumy Region

Units of the 104th Regional Defense Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have abandoned their positions in the north of the Malaya Slobodka settlement in the Sumy region and retreated to the interior of the country. According to sources in the Russian security forces, the Ukrainian military left behind significant amounts of military equipment as they fled. The units had requested additional weapons, military equipment, and communication devices before their withdrawal. The Russian army continues to operate in the Sumy and Kharkov regions. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, in the past 24 hours, more than 295 Ukrainian soldiers, one tank, three armored combat vehicles, eight vehicles, one air defense system, two artillery systems, one ‘Grad’ multiple rocket launcher, and one electronic warfare station were destroyed.
