TÜRSAB Requests Inclusion in SGK Premium Support

The President of the Turkish Travel Agencies Association (TÜRSAB), Firuz Bağlıkaya, requested that travel agencies be included in the social security premium support bill.The TÜRSAB President emphasized that travel agencies are essential for the sustainability of the tourism economy. Bağlıkaya stressed that travel agencies need support and that tourism cannot be revitalized without their support.

It is the travel agencies that market our country's historical, cultural, and natural values day and night, all over the world, persuade tourists and bring them, sell tourism products in every field from health to gastronomy, and organize this massive operation. The filling of hotels, the profitable flight of airplanes, and the revitalization of destinations are all on the shoulders of travel agencies. The main problem in today's tourism is not hotel capacity, but shrinking demand. Excluding travel agencies, the only power that can revive demand, from the support, does not match the dynamics of tourism. If travel agencies are supported, hotels will fill up and efficiency will increase. Personnel support will ensure their survival and the revival of the sector.

The TÜRSAB President stated that travel agencies must be supported and requested that the parliament provide support to travel agencies.
