Turkey's Top Taxpayers Revealed: The Top Spot Remains Unchanged for 5 Years

The list of the top 100 taxpayers in Turkey has been announced. Baykar Chairman of the Board Selçuk Bayraktar and Baykar General Manager Haluk Bayraktar have been the top taxpayers in Turkey for 5 consecutive years from 2021 to 2025. In the 2025 tax period, Selçuk Bayraktar declared 2 billion 991 million 536 thousand lira, and Haluk Bayraktar declared 2 billion 502 million 27 thousand lira in income tax. The total income tax paid by the two managers was 5 billion 493.6 million lira. Baykar has been achieving its goals through an export-oriented growth model. The company's approximately 18-fold increase in tax payments since 2021 is largely due to its export-oriented growth model. Having carried out all its projects with its own resources since its establishment, Baykar has been operating without receiving any cash incentives, grants, or order guarantees from the state. The company, which has set its future vision on new areas of high technology, including space technology, has obtained about 90% of its total income from exports since the start of its R&D journey in 2003. As the export leader in the defense and aviation industry for the last 5 years, Baykar has signed supply contracts with a total of 39 countries, including 36 for the Bayraktar TB2 SİHA and 16 for the Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA.
