Life Expectancy in Turkey Reaches 78.5 Years

According to the Life Tables, 2023-2025 data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the life expectancy at birth in Turkey has been calculated as 78.5 years. This duration has shown an increase compared to the previous period. When evaluated by gender, the life expectancy for men is 75.9 years, and for women, it is 81.1 years. TÜİK's data indicates that as the level of education increases, so does the life expectancy. In every age group, it has been determined that individuals with lower levels of education have shorter life expectancies, and as the level of education rises, so does the life expectancy. The average remaining life expectancy for a 30-year-old person is 50.3 years, with 47.8 years for men and 52.7 years for women.
