Minister Yumaklı mentioned that they are implementing 61 organized agricultural zones in 42 provinces and have allocated a budget of 10 billion liras for the investment phase of these zones, which is currently being spent.A total of 46 zones have gained legal entity status, with the infrastructure investments of 20 zones completed and production initiated in 15 zones. So far, 10,000 jobs have been created in the zones where production has begun, with 60,000 tons of production and 160,000 large livestock produced, as some organized agricultural zones are designed for animal production. If we make a total calculation, their annual contribution to the economy has reached 20 billion liras. Hopefully, we will have put 5 more organized agricultural zones into production by 2026.
Turkey Advances Towards Global Leadership in Food Security

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı stated that Turkey has achieved a prestigious position in the world in terms of food supply security and food product exports. Minister Yumaklı emphasized that agriculture is a strategic sector, and numerous investments have been made to develop agricultural infrastructure during the AK Party governments.According to the 2025 results, our country ranks 1st in Europe and 7th in the world with an agricultural income of $83.2 billion. Yumaklı highlighted that they have designated organized agricultural areas as strategic zones, taking into account factors such as climate change, proximity of production areas to consumption areas, and natural resources.
