Critical weather warning for Turkey

The Meteorology General Directorate has issued a critical weather report for Turkey. Heavy rain showers are expected in Sinop, Samsun, Ordu, and Giresun, while a storm warning has been issued for the Marmara and North Aegean regions, with wind speeds reaching up to 80 kilometers per hour.According to the weather assessments, the northern parts of Turkey and the inner regions of the Mediterranean will be under the influence of a partially and locally very cloudy weather. Authorities warned local administrations and citizens to be cautious against possible negative consequences such as flash floods, flooding, landslides, lightning strikes, and transportation disruptions in the region.In addition to the Black Sea region, the eastern Marmara, the Taurus region of the Mediterranean, the northern part of Eastern Anatolia, and the northern and eastern parts of Çanakkale, Balıkesir, Osmaniye, Kırıkkale, Yozgat, Çankırı, and Ankara will also be affected by rain and thunderstorms. It has been reported that the air temperatures will decrease slightly in the northern regions, while the southern regions will continue to be above the seasonal norms.
