Turkey Leaves 117 Countries Behind in Terms of Young Population

Turkey's young population, with 12.7 million, has surpassed the total population of 117 out of 194 countries.
According to the data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the population between the ages of 15-24 constitutes 14.8% of the total population.
The proportion of young people in the world's total population is 15.6%.
Turkey, with its high young population, has left behind more than 100 countries in terms of general population.
The countries with the closest young population figures to Turkey are the United Kingdom with 8.3 million, Germany with 8 million, and Italy with 6 million.
As the leader in young population in Europe, Turkey has also surpassed the total population of 19 out of 27 EU member countries.
