Change in Seat Distribution in the Turkish Grand National Assembly

The seat distribution in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) has changed following recent resignations and party changes by members of parliament. The total number of members of parliament has decreased to 592. The New Path Party reduced its number of members of parliament to 19 with the resignation of İzmir Member of Parliament Mustafa Bilici. However, the party's membership increased back to 20 with the participation of Kütahya Member of Parliament Ali Fazıl Kasap, who resigned from the Republican People's Party (CHP). This development enabled the party to meet the conditions for forming a group in the TBMM again. The information on the Seat Distribution of the 28th Term Members of Parliament on the official website of the TBMM has been updated after the recent changes. Following the changes, the number of members of parliament from the Good Party decreased to 27, and the number of members of parliament from the Republican People's Party (CHP) decreased to 44. The number of independent members of parliament increased to 13. The total number of members of parliament in the Assembly decreased from 600 to 592 due to previous deaths, loss of membership, and resignations.
