Woman Arrested for Allegedly Burning Turkish Flag with a Lighter

In Muğla, a woman burned the Turkish flag hanging in front of a business with a lighter. The incident was noticed by citizens and immediately reported to the police. After examining the security cameras, the perpetrator was identified as Ayşe A. (31). The woman was taken into custody at her home and brought to the police station. Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Aras condemned the attack in a statement on his social media account, emphasizing that the Turkish flag is a symbol of independence, unity, and solidarity. Mayor Aras also believes that the perpetrator will be held accountable in the shortest time possible. MHP Menteşe District Chairman Kadir Türk called for a thorough investigation into the incident and for the perpetrators to face legal action.
