TURKSTAT Announces June Inflation Rates: Civil Servant and Pensioner Salary Increases Finalized

The Turkish Statistical Institute's (TURKSTAT) announcement of June inflation rates has finalized the salary increases for civil servants and pensioners. Inflation was recorded at 0.99 percent on a monthly basis and 32.11 percent on an annual basis. The first five months' inflation data had already revealed a significant portion of the salary increase. With the release of the June inflation data, the pension increase has also been finalized. The pension increase was calculated as 17.76 percent. The civil servant salary increase was also determined by considering the collective agreement and inflation, and was set at 13.52 percent.
