Trump Comments on NATO Expenditures

US President Donald Trump made statements regarding NATO membership expenditures. Trump argued that the US allocates significantly more resources than all other member countries, yet receives no benefits in return. Trump stated that the US spent $999 billion on NATO between 2014 and 2025. He also mentioned the expenditures of other NATO members, citing the United Kingdom at $90.5 billion, France at $66.5 billion, Italy at $48.8 billion, and Poland at $44.3 billion.According to Trump's statements, many other NATO member countries fell far behind the US in terms of expenditures.
