US President Donald Trump stated that the ongoing tension with Iran will come to an end and the Tehran administration will soon face defeat. At the Defense and Innovation Summit in Pennsylvania, Trump made significant statements. 'Iran will soon face defeat,' Trump said, referring to the air strikes carried out by the US army against Iran. The US army has been conducting air strikes against Iran since July 8. CENTCOM claims these strikes are in response to Iran's actions against commercial ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian forces have retaliated with attacks on US bases in various Middle Eastern countries. Following another wave of reciprocal attacks between the US and Iran on Sunday, Iran announced that it would close the Strait of Hormuz until US intervention in the region ends. In response to these developments, Trump stated on July 13 that the United States would be the 'protector' of the Strait of Hormuz and also announced the renewal of the blockade on Iranian ports.
