Trump Announces New ICE Director Nominee

US President Donald Trump has announced Lance Schroyer as the nominee for director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Trump stated that Schroyer has over 29 years of law enforcement experience and is a proven leader in security. Schroyer, a former Oklahoma state trooper and US Marine, has experience in removing undocumented immigrants from the streets. Trump noted that Schroyer has the necessary qualifications to apprehend and deport criminals who have entered the country illegally, including murderers, rapists, and drug smugglers.
