Lawsuit Filed Against Trump Administration's New Tariffs

A lawsuit has been filed against the Trump administration's new tariff decisions in the US International Trade Court. In the lawsuit filed by two companies, the cancellation of new customs duties applied to 60 trade partners is requested. In the petition, it is argued that the recent decisions taken under Section 301 of the 1974 Trade Act exceed the authority given to the executive by Congress. The application also states that the implementation of the tariffs is 'arbitrary and unjustified'. The 10% and 12.5% customs duties imposed on countries that account for approximately 99.4% of US imports have been brought to justice.
