Ministry of Trade Cracks Down on Water Prices

The Ministry of Trade has conducted a thorough inspection to prevent unfair increases in water prices. Following the update of the deposit participation fee for plastic, glass, and metal packaged beverages, the Ministry's teams scrutinized the unjustified price hikes. As part of the inspections, a market branch in Ankara's Çankaya district was examined in detail. During this examination, the invoices of packaged water and other products subject to the deposit participation fee were carefully checked to ensure their prices were in line with the sales prices.
