TFF Announces Chip-Embedded Ball Implementation Date

The Turkish Football Federation has officially announced the implementation date of the chip-embedded ball technology in the Süper Lig. The innovations that were applied in the World Cup and received great appreciation from football fans are being introduced to the Trendyol Süper Lig.The Vice President of the Turkish Football Federation, Mecnun Otyakmaz, stated that they want to implement all the innovations experienced in the World Cup in Turkey. 'We want to use all the innovations as an example for other federations.'The chip-embedded ball application is a significant innovation aimed at minimizing disputes on the field. Mecnun Otyakmaz shared the timeline for the system's installation and activation, mentioning that the infrastructure work is ongoing and the installation is expected to be completed by January.The chip-embedded ball technology is planned to be officially used in the second half of the Süper Lig 2026-2027 season. The project is expected to be more comprehensively applied in all matches starting from the next season.
