Hitman Operation in Mersin: 6 Suspects Detained

In Mersin, 6 out of 12 suspects, who were alleged to have worked as hitmen for a criminal organization, were detained.According to a statement from the Mersin Provincial Police Department, teams from the Smuggling and Organized Crime Combat Bureau conducted an operation at a hotel following a tip to the 112 Emergency Call Center.During the search at the hotel, an unlicensed pistol and 8 bullets were seized. Additionally, a plateless motorcycle found near the hotel was also confiscated. The suspects stated in their statements that they had come to Mersin to shoot someone on behalf of a criminal organization.The investigation teams, who deepened the investigation, detained 10 more suspects in connection with the incident. The 12 suspects, whose procedures at the police station were completed, were referred to the courthouse.
