Significant Progress Achieved in De-Dollarization

Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek emphasized that trust in the Turkish lira continues to grow. Minister Şimşek evaluated this process, stating

Thanks to increasing predictability and strengthening investor confidence, we have made significant progress in the de-dollarization process. Despite multiple shocks, the share of Turkish lira deposits in total deposits has reached its highest level in the last 11 years, at around 62 percent. We will continue our policies to consolidate trust in the Turkish lira, strengthen macrofinancial stability, and ensure price stability, which is a prerequisite for sustainable high growth.
