Turkey's Parliament Speaker Kurtulmuş Expresses Hope for Completion of 'Turkey Without Terrorism' Process

Turkey's Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş expressed his hope that the 'Turkey Without Terrorism' process will be largely completed before the parliament goes on recess. Speaker Kurtulmuş made an assessment on the TRT News live broadcast and called on political parties to refrain from making statements that would disrupt the atmosphere of brotherhood and peace. Emphasizing that the National Solidarity, Brotherhood, and Democracy Commission has prepared its report with great care, Kurtulmuş stated that it would be a fitting conclusion to bring this process to the parliament as a joint proposal from all parties. Regarding the legal framework of the 'Turkey Without Terrorism' process, Kurtulmuş noted that the laws will be temporary and specific, and individuals who lay down their arms and declare their withdrawal from organizational activities within a specified time frame will benefit from this, but it will never be an amnesty. The Speaker of the Turkish Parliament reiterated his hope that this process will be largely completed before the parliament goes on recess.
