Two People Rescued at the Last Minute from Burning Building

In Antalya's Muratpaşa district, a fire broke out in the penthouse of a 5-story building, leaving 2 people stranded. During the fire, 2 people who were affected by the smoke were safely rescued by the fire department. The incident occurred in a 5-story building located on 92nd Street in the Üçgen Mahallesi neighborhood. After the fire started, fire department teams, 112 Emergency Health, police, and AFAD teams were dispatched to the scene. The two people who were stranded went outside onto the terrace and stood on the window sill of the lower floor, waiting for the fire department. Despite the high floor and smoke, the pair was rescued by the fire department using a ladder and were taken to the hospital as a precaution after receiving initial medical attention. Ali Dumlupınar, who witnessed the fire, described the scene: 'When I went out onto the balcony, I saw a lot of smoke rising from the penthouse of the building across the way. The two people who were stranded were surrounded by flames. The flames were approaching them. The fire department arrived just in time and rescued them. Then there was a loud noise. We were scared and went down from the building. Hopefully, nothing bad happened.' An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire.
