11 Parliamentary Immunity Files Referred to Turkish Parliament for Review

A total of 11 parliamentary immunity files concerning 10 members of the Turkish Parliament have been submitted to the Parliament. The files, which include requests for the removal of parliamentary immunity, were referred to a joint committee comprising members of the Constitutional and Justice Committees for evaluation.The files, which were submitted to the Parliament, contain presidential decrees related to the removal of parliamentary immunity. These files will be reviewed by the joint committee in accordance with the procedures outlined in the Parliament's bylaws.Notably, two separate parliamentary immunity files regarding Mahmut Tanal, a member of the Republican People's Party (CHP) from Şanlıurfa, are among those referred to the joint committee.
